How much does it cost to join?
Nothing! It's completely free to enter, earn entries, and win the jackpot. No purchase necessary, ever.
What is IntelliWatt™? Why am I redirected there after signing up?
IntelliWatt™ is our secure user portal where your jackpot entries, energy insights, and plan recommendations are stored. It's the system that tracks your activity and delivers your personalized results. When you log in using your secure email link, you'll land on your IntelliWatt™ dashboard — the brains behind HitTheJackWatt™.
HitTheJackWatt™ and IntelliWatt™ are both operated by Intellipath Solutions LLC, a Texas-based energy intelligence company.
Is it safe to connect my smart meter?
Yes. We use Smart Meter Texas, the official state data portal. You control access and can revoke it anytime. Your data is encrypted and never sold.
What do you do with my data?
We only use it to estimate savings and award jackpot entries. We never share or sell your info.
What kind of data do you use to make recommendations?
We use your Smart Meter Texas data (with your permission), or your uploaded bill, along with details about your home and appliances. Our proprietary algorithm then analyzes your real usage patterns hour-by-hour to match you with the most cost-effective electricity plan — based on how your home actually uses energy.
Do you always show the cheapest electricity plan?
No — we show the best plan for your actual usage. Sometimes, a plan with a lower advertised rate ends up costing more because of your unique usage pattern, hidden fees, or mismatched contract terms. Our system uses real data to calculate total cost over time, not just cents per kWh.
What happens if the best plan doesn't pay you a commission?
We'll still recommend it. We only add $5 to the jackpot if a user picks a plan that pays us a referral fee — but that never affects the plan we recommend. We earn your trust by doing what's right, not just what pays.
What if I already have solar panels?
We support that! When you indicate that you have solar, our system looks for solar buyback plans and time-of-use pricing that works with your setup. You can even simulate post-solar usage if you're thinking about going solar soon.
What happens after I sign up?
You'll get a recommendation when your current plan comes due, or sooner if we detect that switching early could save you money — even after accounting for any early termination fee. You'll also earn entries into the monthly Jackpot and can update your info or switch plans anytime.
How do I earn entries?
You earn entries by:
- 1 for signing up
- 10 for linking Smart Meter Texas
- 10 for completing home details
- 10 for completing appliance info
- 5 for every friend you refer
When is the drawing held?
A winner is drawn once the jackpot reaches at least $500. If it doesn't reach that amount in a given month, entries roll over to the next drawing.
How often is the jackpot drawn?
Monthly — on the 5th of each month. Once you earn entries, they stay active forever.
How big is the jackpot?
The jackpot grows based on user activity and energy plan switches through IntelliWatt™. It resets after each drawing and starts growing again!
Where does the jackpot money come from?
Every time someone switches to a plan through our platform that pays us a referral commission, we add $5 to the jackpot. Not all plans pay us — but when they do, we share that value with the community by growing the prize pool.
Do I have to switch plans to win?
Nope. You can enter, earn entries, and win without switching — though switching does help grow the jackpot.
How are winners chosen?
One entry = one ticket in the monthly draw. Winners are chosen at random and notified via email or SMS.
How will I know if I win?
IntelliWatt™ will notify you by email and/or text if you're the winner.....or we might surprise you in person! Make sure your contact info is accurate.
Will I get spam calls or emails?
Never. We don't sell your info, and we don't allow spam from plan providers. All communication is directly from us, and only when needed.
What's the catch?
There isn't one! IntelliWatt™ is paid by energy companies when you switch through us (similar to a broker). That's how we fund the jackpot and keep our service free for users.
How many times can I win?
There's no limit! Your entries remain valid for all future drawings, so you could potentially win multiple times.
Do you only recommend plans that pay you?
No. We use real usage data and AI analysis to always recommend the plan that saves you the most — even if that plan doesn't pay us. However, if you choose a plan that does pay us a referral fee, we'll add $5 to the jackpot on your behalf.
